Who doesn’t like free activities for the kids in the summer? We have had a lot of rainy days and immense heat here in Central Florida this summer break so finding indoor activities has been a must. There is definitely no shortage of activities in our area, that is for sure. We are big fans of the public library and all of the free programs they offer, but we like to have various adventures during our summer break and the cost of these adventures add up quickly.

One great summer program we have here in Central Florida is a Free Bowling for Kids. In fact, you may have a free bowling program in your area as well. I did a little research before I decided to write this post and discovered this program is offered in select bowling centers across the United States, Canada, and some military bowling centers. I had no idea!

The program was designed to give back to the communities and it also provides a fun, safe place for kids to spend their summer. You can search for a participating center at the site KidsBowlFree.com. Our community offers this program, however, it is not listed on this site so be sure to dig a little deeper if you don’t see your community.

The signup process for the Free Bowling for Kids program is very simple. If you use KidsBowlFree.com, their link will take you right to that bowling center’s sign up page. There you will input your information as well as the names and ages of your children. Every center has their own age requirements. For example, at ours, we can register any child under the age of 15. Most centers have their terms and conditions right on the registration page so you will know exactly what to expect. Another great thing is that you can sign up to six children.

Once I registered my kids I simply presented my email confirmation at the counter at the center and voilà, I had two summer passes. These summer passes are good for two free games of bowling each day of the program. Our center allows kids to bowl free Monday-Friday from open until 5 pm from the beginning of June to the end of August.

Eden celebrating a strike!

We do have to pay for shoe rental at our center, but once again, each center will be different with their offerings. Some centers may even offer an unlimited shoe rental pass for purchase, and others, shoe rental may be free.

One thing to note is that the program can not be combined with any other specials, discounts or coupons. Also, group outings are not allowed to use the kids bowl free coupons. One thing we do enjoy though is meeting a couple of friends out for a playdate. Do you have a free summer bowling for kids in your community? Are you part of the program if so? Please share below.
